Last week, Emily, a CORE Lab second year PhD student, had the pleasure of forming part of the Linguistics Alumni Panel hosted by the College of Science at Northeastern University. During the panel discussion, several alumni came to campus to talk about their careers and answer questions for current linguistics students and interested members of the community.

Emily got her Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Psychology at Northeastern University. Before returning to higher education to pursue her graduate degree, she was the Director of Applied Research at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce where her work involved researching and understanding the impacts of education and health care public policies and proposals. With that background, Emily is able to conduct research at the CORE Lab that will inform public understanding of science and its applications in educational and health care settings.

Stay tuned to hear more about Emily’s amazing research soon!
