Earlier this semester, long-time lab member Catie Nielson accepted a position in the University of Nevada Department of Psychology as a professor-in-residence! Catie is a postdoc researcher here and has been working in the CORE Lab since 2020.

Starting this coming July, her new position will take her to Las Vegas, where she will be teaching undergrad psychology courses on subjects like cognition, research design, and statistics. Catie has always loved teaching, and since teaching her very first class in 2020 knew she would eventually become a teaching-track professor. She’s most excited to develop her own curriculum and help psychology students become more comfortable using statistical analysis. She’s also looking forward to living closer to family and year-round warm weather.

Congratulations Catie!
