This past April, our very own Dr. John Coley and our collaborator Dr. Brian Helmuth from Northeastern’s Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences gave a flash talk at a Northeastern event intended to spark collaboration between Northeastern members and people at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI).
This day long meeting allowed researchers from both Northeastern University and WHOI to talk about their work and hear from others they might want to collaborate with.
Dr. Coley and Dr. Helmuth jointly delivered a 15 minute flash talk about their work on how people think about the environment. Part of WHOI’s mission is to “ensure society’s long-term welfare and to help guide human stewardship of the environment,” as well as provide accurate information that guides pro-environmental decision making. The work that the Dr. Coley and Dr. Helmuth collaborate on is crucial to informing these goals!
