Throughout this summer, the CORE Lab had the privilege of working in collaboration with the Russell J. Call Children’s Center at Northeastern University to interview children for a new project dealing with intuitive ecological learning! Read more about the project below!

CORE Lab’s very own Dr. John Coley and Dr. Imac Maria Zambrana from University of Oslo recently received a grant from the Department of Special Needs Education at the University of Oslo to study the role of pedagogical instruction in children’s ecological thinking and behavior. In the times where climate change is becoming an issue of great importance, their research looks at how children come to learn about ecology in the natural world. Their findings will help us to understand how children intuitively categorize and understand the complex world around them and may have implications for the future of science education.
