Dr. John Coley, together with CORE Lab graduate students Yian Xu and Jessica Leffers travelled to New Orleans for the 59th Psychonomics Society annual meeting. The psychonomics society is a professional organization of cognitive psychologists. Members are cognitive psychologists and include some of the most distinguished researchers in the field concerned with the application of psychology to health, technology, and education.
This year, Dr. Coley presented a poster on Ecological Thinking in Preschoolers: Evidence from Free Play. Jess presented her fascinating project on racial essentialism and Yian presented her data on essentialism about social categories. A great conference full of inspiring conversations and lots of adventures in a wonderful city!
